Bad Christian Movies on Trolling with Logic

Marissa Alexa McCool

And why do non-believers, especially atheists, find them so entertaining? In this episode, we are joined by Marissa Alexa McCool to explore these questions with a light-hearted discussion of some of the recurring themes and tropes that frequently appear in faith-based movies.

A 2017 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in English, Anthropology, and Cinema and Media Studies, Marissa is also an LGBT-rights activist and speaker. She hosts multiple podcasts including The Inciting Incident Podcast, The Cis Are Getting Out of Hand, and We Too – Our Stories, and has authored five books, including “The PC Lie: How American Voters Decided I Don’t Matter” and the novels “False Start” and “Voice in the Dark.” She won a 2014 Keystone Award for Excellence in Journalism and won the 2015 Audience Choice Award for her film “Permanent Solution,” focusing on the struggles of suicide survivors.
